Why You Should Use Adwords


If you are an affiliate marketer or working on becoming one, you have heard of Adwords. Adwords is the pay per click advertising program utilized by the search engine Google. I believe its one of the best pay per click programs out there and this is why.

The program is easy to use. Anyone can set up a campaign using Adwords. The program takes you through each step and explains what to do. It is very easy to use for beginners and as you become more familiar with affiliate ads, you can utilize some of the more advanced tools.

Adwords allows you to always stay within your budget. You can set your maximum budget for each day. Adwords will show your ads as many times as your budget will allow. It will also allow you to set the maximum you are willing to pay per click per keyword. The more popular keywords are generally more expensive. For beginners, it is better to stay away from those as they are much more popular and although they get a lot more traffic, you will be competing for much more experienced marketers and it may be difficult to turn a profit.

Adwords also will show you your approximate ad position based on the maximum you are willing to pay per click. It will allow you to adjust your maximum pay per click at any time throughout your campaign. You can also change your budget at any time. You can pause campaigns that you feel need to be optimized and delete campaigns that are not profitable.

Within each ad campaign, Adwords has some great tools. It takes you step by step through the ad writing process. You can have multiple ads within each campaign, each targeting a different set of keywords. If you set up your ad campaigns this way, you will ultimately pay less per click. Adwords utilizes a Quality Score in determining the price per click paid. If you have multiple ad groups each targeting a different set of keywords and you set up your ads to be very relevant to your keywords, your click through rate will increase and so will your Quality Score. This will allow you to pay a smaller price pr click. Your budget will last longer and you should make more profits. There is also a keyword suggestion tool that will help you come up with related keywords.

Google is also one of the most popular if not the most popular search engine out there. By placing your ads on Google you will have a lot of exposure to people who are searching for products that you are promoting.
